The Lake

Jerry (Brock) Brockmiller and good friend Steve Kiefaber created the 25 acre lake that is the focal point of this scenic 200 acre property. In December of 2001, after a month of moving and compacting clay a dam was completed and the lake bottom was ready for its first rain fall. The lake, catching runoff from 500 acres of farmland from the north and east was totally full in only 2 months.

Two years later the lake was stocked, first with 15,000 Blue Gill that were allowed to spawn a few times creating millions of feeder fish for the Large Mouth Bass and Channel Catfish that were introduced into the lake. During construction of the lake, structure for the fish that were to come was developed, which was key for these young fingerlinks to mature.

Already, six pound fish are regularly being pulled from the lake with larger Bass being released. In the spring of 2008 Crappie were added to the lake with hopes that they will do as well as the other families of fish have done over this short period of time. Few things are more enjoyable at this farm than a day on this lake with a pole in your hand, relaxing and enjoying all nature has given.
